ANIMAL WELLNESS PBL

Picture
What is Animal Wellness?
Animal Wellness is in its fourth year as a Project Based Learning group offered to the secondary students of ISS.   The most meaningful tasks we do is going out into the community and volunteering weekly at local animal organizations.  This is when the students gain experience working directly with animals, identifying their needs, while enhancing the quality of life to local strays.  Animal Wellness truly is a voice for the vulnerable.

Animal WEllness Goals and ongoing projects

  • Identify needs of local animals and local wellness associations
  • Plan school wide fundraisers to help meet the needs of the local animal wellness associations
  • Identify problems that exist in the area for animals and learn about these problems
  • Educate and raise money for local Spay and Neuter clinics
  • Help local organizations with the adoptions process for local animals
