Ms. Jaelis Martinez (D.R.) Pre-K 2 Teacher
Ms. Jaelis was born and raised in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. She joined ISS October 21, 2014 as the Kindergarten Teaching Assistant. Ms. Jaelis graduated from the English Immersion Program sponsored by Utah University. She also has her Bachelors Degree from the Universidad Dominicana Organización & Método fully certifying her to teach. Ms. Jaelis is currently working on her Masters degree in Early Childhood Education and loves her job as PreK2 teacher!
MS. Wanda Ventura (D.R.) Pre-K 3 Teacher
Ms. Wanda has been working in the Pre-K3 program at ISS for 20 years. She has a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy and Literature from UTSA, a Specialist Certificate in Montessori from INTEC Centro de Estudio Montessori, and certification from the North American Montessori Center. Ms.Wanda also has a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education.
Ms. Ashley Saunders (Canada) Pre-K 4 Teacher
Ms. Ashley is proud to be a member of the vibrant ISS team! She has been working at ISS since August 2013- first as PreK3 teacher- and as PreK4 teacher for the last 3 years. She has 12 years of teaching experience and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Trent University, and a Bachelor of Education from the Queen’s-Trent concurrent education program. Ashley is passionate about working with young children and is happy to be raising her children Ryan (grade 4) and Aaron (PreK3) in the beautiful Dominican Republic.
Ms. Floyra Garcia (D.R.) Pre-K Teacher Assistant
Ms. Floyra Garcia was born in Gaspar Hernandez, Dominican Republic. She has completed courses in radio broadcasting and public speaking, and loves using these skills- and her acting skills- to contribute to the ISS community. Ms. Floyra has been passionate about working with children since she was a little girl herself. She is a dedicated PreK teaching assistant and is happy to be joining the ISS team for a third year.
Ms. Yvanna Capellan (D.R.) Pre-K Teaching ASSISTANT
Ms. Yvanna was born and raised in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. She is a graduate of the Early Childhood Education program at the University of UASD. Ms. Yvanna enjoys working with children of all ages. She has 3 years of experience working with the Dream Project’s summer camp program. Yvanna is excited to be returning to her position as Pre-Kindergarten teaching assistant for her second year.
