Play is such an invaluable experience to children. Through play, children learn how to take turns, solve problems, take on new roles, develop their large motor skills, take risks, and so much more! Playing is learning! Here are a few pictures of your children engaging in some of their favorite play activities :).
It's hard to believe that the first week of school is almost complete! The students have been very busy learning about classroom routines, materials, and of course, creating and playing! This week, we have practiced our 'tidy up' routine. When the students hear our tidy up song, they know it's time to put their materials and toys away and meet in the circle. In language, we have been working with our first names. Some children can already identify their names in print. We made 'first letter' of our name art, and the hard work was truly noted! We have also been singing lots of new songs which I'm sure you'll start to hear around your home! I will post some videos and music of some of these songs on the website soon. Here are a few photos of our first week in PreK 3. Thank you for all of your support:)!
