ISS Program of Study (Secondary)
The ISS Secondary Program of
Study offers two basic programs, one that leads to both the American
and Dominican High School (“Bachillerato”) Diplomas
and one that leads to only the American High School Diploma.
Students that enter ISS before reaching the Secondary School
(grade 7) or are transfer students from other DR schools are
required to complete a program of study that leads to Dual
Diplomas (US & DR). Students that enter ISS after grade
7 may chose to pursue both diplomas; however, it is the student’s
responsibility to perform a process of “convalidacion” (equivalency)
that requires government approval of transfer credits.
