The International School of Sosua employs dynamic, positive and certified educators. We are currently seeking qualified teachers for the 2021-2022 academic school year (July 2021 start). All positions require participation in professional learning communities to promote shared leadership, collaborative learning, and professional development; as well as the Stronge & Associates Teacher Performance Evaluation System for International Schools.

1- Secondary History
Degree in Education, History, or Social Studies.
Experience teaching History courses in Secondary; a focus on cast-studies, project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and document-based question usage is preferred. Experience with AP level courses; eg, Human Geography, Comparative Govt & Politics, European History and/or World History.

Teachers utilize different approaches whilst using the AERO 
Curriculum for planning.

2- Spanish & Estudios Sociales for 6th-8th.
Experience and knowledge of the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic's curricula. 
Experience in the Salidas Optativas de Letras would be beneficial.

3- Early Childhood teacher (Nursery/Pre-Kinder)
The Early Childhood at ISS uses standard-based reporting and the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards. Teachers utilize different approaches whilst using 
Common Curriculum for planning.
