STUDENT life

ISSOSUA students are encouraged to participate in leadership opportunities, service learning, athletics, and extracurricular programs that help develop confidence, responsibility, collaboration, and global citizenship.

Athletics & Sports

At ISSOSUA, athletics play an important role in developing teamwork, discipline, resilience, and school spirit. Through our Volleyball and Soccer programs, students have opportunities to compete, grow as athletes, and represent the Hurricanes within local and international competitions.
As active members of regional athletic associations such as ACCAS and Tri-Association events, our student-athletes participate in meaningful competitive experiences that strengthen leadership, collaboration, and personal growth both on and off the field.
Athletic Director – Omnys Cordero

Model United Nations & Debate

Picture
At ISSOSUA, our students are developing their voices as global citizens through our Model United Nations (MUN) and Debate programs. As proud members of the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA), our teams sharpen critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership skills while engaging in thoughtful discussions on today’s most pressing issues.

Representing diverse perspectives, our students learn to collaborate, advocate, and inspire—skills that prepare them for success both in and beyond the classroom.

Staff Adviser - Mr. Marcelo Fernandes

NJHS & NHS - The Fidelis Chapter

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and National Honor Society (NHS) is the premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.
