Wow, our first full month of school has zoomed by!
We have just completed a month of school and students and teachers alike are settling in well. It is really impressive how our community continues to evolve. We have welcomed around 40 new students to ISS this year! Our student population has grown to around 214 students, and we have kept our truly multicultural status with students from 26 different nationalities!
It was great to see so many parents attend our first annual Meet the Teachers night. The feedback from parents was extremely positive, thank you! Upon reflection, and parent feedback, we will look to hold two separate nights next year, one for the Secondary School and one for Elementary School. This way the secondary parents will be able to have a bit more time with their children’s teachers, and parents with children in both levels will not need to choose which presentations to attend.
We have been developing our lines of communication to ensure our parent community is kept well abreast of the teaching and learning that happens at our school. That said, I strongly encourage you to connect with teachers directly, by emailing them or setting up appointments to meet with them, if you have any questions or concerns about your child and their education. While my door is always open, our wonderful teachers are the best people to speak with initially regarding your child’s progress.
Looking forward to another great month ahead!
