2015 council of international schools college fair!
Twenty ISS students attended the Council of International Schools College Fair in Santo Domingo on Monday. Grades 11 and 12 students met with colleges and universities from around the United States, gaining valuable insight into the opportunities that await them upon graduating from ISS. Our students were outstanding representatives of the school and surely put ISS on the map for recruitment by these selective universities. Way to go Hurricanes!
Parent support group
Thank you for all the parents who showed up today for our first Parent Support Group (PSG) meeting of 2015-16. Thank you also to those who could not make today, but have mentioned they want to help out this year as well. I believe this year we will see some exciting new initiatives that will enhance our ISS community even more.
Thank you Ms. Kathy Morillo (President) and Ms. Jodi Martinez (Vice-President) for stepping up to help lead our PSG this year. While they have the official titles, the PSG only works when many step up to lead various activities, events or community presentations throughout the year. We appreciate any and all support!
The PSG will have its next official meeting on Wednesday, September 23rd, 8:15am in the library (upstairs). At this time, the group will begin the organization of Fun Fair (Jodi Martinez and Christy Rose to lead) and will be looking at the year ahead. ALL are encouraged to show up for the meeting and welcome to participate!
Again, we very much appreciate the fantastic work of our PSG and look forward to another positive year!
