STUDENT GROUPS

To be an ISS Hurricane is more than being a student, it is being part of a larger community, family. We strongly believe that allowing students a voice and a choice is key in their growth as socially conscious individuals.

The Student Council

We, the students of the International School of Sosua, in order to promote knowledge and involvement, encourage scholarship and leadership, support school activities and policies, and create communication and cooperation between the students and staff do ordain and establish this constitution of the Student Council of International School of Sosúa.

NJHS & NHS - The Fidelis Chapter

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.

Model United Nations & Debate

At ISSOSUA, our students are developing their voices as global citizens through our Model United Nations (MUN) and Debate programs. As proud members of the National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA), our teams sharpen critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership skills while engaging in thoughtful discussions on today’s most pressing issues. Representing diverse perspectives, our students learn to collaborate, advocate, and inspire—skills that prepare them for success both in and beyond the classroom.
